MEET THE TEAM
Having originally joined the marina team as seasonal staff in 2005, Kerrie became marina manager in February 2017. Previous experience included sailing as volunteer Watch Leader and Deckhand for the Tall Ships Youth Trust, during which time she sailed the Atlantic twice and spent 6 months in the Caribbean.
Kerrie now manages Poole Quay Boat Haven & Port of Poole Marina and, together with the rest of the team, is on hand to help customers and look after the boats that are berthed in both marinas.
Lee started working for PHC in the summer of 2004 as the permit sales attendant at the Baiter Slipway. He did this for 8 summers before joining the marina team in 2011 when Poole Quay Boat Haven took over the permit sales office. Lee is an invaluable member of the team and is often seen out and about on the sites completing a variety of tasks. Lee also holds his RYA Advanced Powerboat and Marina Radio Certificates.
Kirsty joined the team in March 2012 and became assistant manager in February 2017. Having held various nautical positions working on tall ships around the world, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. Kirsty has completed around 75,000 nautical miles and crossed the Atlantic six times in various sea states. Kirsty holds her RYA Advanced Powerboat Certificate, RYA Day Skipper Theory and Marine Radio Certificate amongst other maritime qualifications including STCW '95.
Having worked as a member of seasonal staff in 2011, Tracey joined the permanent team later in the year when she became one of the office administrators.
Tracey has gained qualifications in RYA Powerboat Level II and the Marine Radio Certificate, and works alongside the rest of the team looking after the day-to-day running of the marinas.
Sam started working for us in April 2016. He is now our second bosun, alongside Lee. Sam has completed City & Guilds Level II in Marine Engineering & Marine Construction, Systems Engineering & Maintenance. He also holds RYA Powerboat Level II and STCW ‘95 Basic Fire Fighting, Sea Survival, Personal Safety & Social Responsibility, First Aid and
Ben started with us in 2014 whilst studying Environmental Science at Plymouth University. Since graduating he has joined our full time team. Ben enjoys surf kayaking and can sometimes be seen practising his kayaking after work. Ben holds his RYA Powerboat Level II and the VHF SRC (marine radio) competency. Ben helps with all aspects of the marina, from office administration to being out on the pontoons and at the helm of 'Haven One'.
